“The Spine Therapy Center is committed to providing safe, effective spinal rehabilitation to patients throughout New York City. Our goal is to return you to your normal daily activities and return you to the life of health and vigor that you deserve.” – John B. Riedel
The Spine Therapy Center is dedicated to restoring movement and independence to patients with severe back and neck problems. They treat patients with a special emphasis on the spinal system. “After a thorough evaluation of the spine, our treatment plans include: Physical therapy, which address posture and muscle function; rehabilitative exercises to strengthen the body’s back muscles; and a chiropractic program designed to improve balance and coordination and relieve pain and stress.”
People with spinal problems often become fearful of moving around or even sitting for long periods of time. When they can no longer do those simple activities, it can result in a sense of helplessness and hopelessness, which are common symptoms of a spine problem. At the Spine Therapy Center, patients learn to exercise their muscles by engaging in regular exercises, stretching and strengthening programs.
When a patient has a spinal problem, it is difficult to control the muscles that control it. In many cases, the pain from the problem interferes with daily life, making it necessary to use a wheelchair, lie down in bed, or just lie down in a recliner at home. This can make it difficult for the person to function normally in day-to-day life, let alone to enjoy life to the fullest.
Pain may be caused by a herniated disc, an injury to the spinal nerves or muscles, or by a lack of proper nutrition. Often, the pain will be relieved with medication. But if the pain is caused by a problem with your spine, it can sometimes get worse without the treatment of medication.
At the Spine Therapy Center, we are committed to providing a wide variety of programs designed to help patients regain mobility and independence. After a spinal evaluation, we will begin to evaluate the client’s problem, determine the best course of action, find out why he or she is having problems with their spine, and implement a plan of treatment that is right for the individual. We use state-of-the-art equipment to diagnose problems and provide the best treatment possible. Our staff consists of trained doctors, therapists, nurses, therapists, and support staff, all of whom are committed to helping you feel better and live a quality life.
